Our Responsible Packaging

At The Scottish Butcher, we take great care in how your order is prepared and delivered. Our packaging is designed to keep your meats perfectly chilled, maintaining the same freshness and quality as if they had never left the fridge.

For medium to large orders, we include approximately 1.5 to 2 kilograms of reusable ice packs. This ensures your products remain at safe refrigeration temperatures for up to 58 hours or more during transit.

For smaller orders, we use insulated mailer bags along with around 1 kilogram of reusable ice packs. These are carefully packed to maintain fridge temperatures for up to 50 hours or more.

As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, all of our packaging is 100 percent kerbside recyclable. We strongly encourage customers to reuse the boxes and ice packs wherever possible.

Delivery Information

Please contact our customer service team via phone or email to confirm delivery schedules during holiday and bank holiday periods, as timings may vary.

We currently deliver across Mainland United Kingdom only. For international or UK island enquiries, please get in touch with us directly.

If you would like to schedule delivery for a specific date beyond the earliest available option, we are happy to arrange this upon request.

Saturday delivery is available at checkout for a small additional fee.

You can include any specific delivery instructions, such as leaving your parcel in a safe place, within the notes section at checkout.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email. Our courier will also contact you on the morning of delivery via email or SMS, providing a one hour delivery window. This time slot can usually be adjusted directly with the courier to better suit your availability.

While we work with trusted delivery partners, The Scottish Butcher is not liable for delays, loss, or damage once the parcel has been dispatched. Delivery timeframes are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Ownership and risk of the goods transfer to the customer upon dispatch.

Any claims relating to delayed, lost, or damaged deliveries must be made directly with the courier. However, we will assist you in the claims process wherever possible.
